What is Green for your Exhibit?
Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 10:59AM Someone some where did a study and found that Events and Trade shows have an incredible amount of waste involved. No surprise right. There currently no standards to being Green in Exhibits but common sense says it should meet these criteria.
- Uses recycled materials

- Reduces the carbon footprint in the manufacturing process
- Reduces the carbon footprint in the transportation of the exhibit
The good news is that there are Green Options out there for exhibitors. Print on recycled paper or fabric- it looks great and the cost is either the same or about 10% more. Use bamboo instead of Sintra for a hard substrate. Carpet can either be made from recycled product or made from renewable product.
It isn't difficult to be Green. Contact me for more options, visit Eco-Systems to see how great green exhibits are or visit our white pages for some ideas.
Be aware that LEED is coming to exhibits. They are not sure how it will work out but at this point they are looking at credits for a green exhibit that can be used as a discount for floor space or tax purposes. I will keep you posted.

Great post, I think this might be the wave of the future in trade show displays.
